Listen, My Hurting Friend

When I was fifteen years old, I started struggling with anorexia. There is no singular reason for why this happened to me. At the beginning of 2022 something set off that would start this hard battle of life and death for me. The struggle lasted through 2022 and nothing got better, in fact, things got much worse. In January of 2023, I was diagnosed with severe anorexia. I was suddenly facing a stay in the ER and being sent to an inpatient for mental health. Everything hung in the balance of whether my blood test would return good or bad. Amazingly, my vitals were nearly perfect without any signs of malnourishment even though I was over 50 lbs under the average weight for my age. That was the first of many astounding things that God would do for me during my recovery. 

     On February 1st, 2023, a week after my scare at the doctor's office, my mom came to me with an idea. She said I should pray about writing a book while I was recovering. We both prayed about it, but almost instantly I knew that I needed to start writing. 

    Nearly everyday since, I have put to words what God has shown me through my recovery. Every chapter is from my heart and the person revelations that God has shown me.
